Here memory becomes story and story becomes legacy
SENTIA MUJI emerges at a time when the world surges like uncontrollable waves. Loud storms. Rushing floods. Wars unrelenting, brutish, bestial, virulent. And when you add serpentine flames piping through twirling, ghoulish smoke, you need concede that things aren’t normal, not normal at all. Yet, we must not dread each moment. If there is a calming word to offer, we had better offer a dozen. Words, as most scriptures remind us, began the world; words will end it.
Sentia Muji is one of several Kwa phrases for “one day will come”—i.e., tomorrow or the future. Kwa is one of three major African languages in Liberia, West Africa. Kwa includes sublanguages, such as Kru, Grebo, Bassa, Krahn, Sarpo, Dey, and Belleh. I am an African, belonging to the foregoing major language group. Expect references from the group.
